Welcome! 👋 This is a page where I maintain documents, notes, deliverables, and the overall progress that I have made for my project. Below, you would find an overview of the project with more detailed information within the sub-pages.

The end goal of this research is to end up with a specific user need or pain point, that would be taken up as a Master's Project during Fall '20 - Spring '21.

M.S HCI Project Topic Submission Deadline: 24th April 1st June (extended due to the impact of COVID-19)

Phase 1

Understanding Context.

Research Methods Used: Online research; Contextual Observation

During this initial phase, the goal was to gain an elementary knowledge of the esports ecosystem as a whole. Diving into online articles, existing research, and field observation to probe into user pain-points and gain contextual knowledge in the domain.

Phase 2

Probing for Pain Points & Design Opportunities.

Research Methods Used: Semi-structured Interviews Data Analysis Method Used: Affinity Mapping

After gaining an elementary understanding of the collegiate esports ecosystem, I interviewed folks from Georgia Tech Esports to know more about their experience playing as an esport athlete at a collegiate level.

Primary Research Question:
